Ingredients
- 300g Beef steak, thinly sliced across the grain (sirloin, flank, or rump)
- ½ jar Krish's Soy Caramel Magic Sauce (divided) Magic Sauce
- 1 tbsp Vegetable or grapeseed oil (for high heat)
- ½ Red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 Carrot, peeled and thinly sliced into discs or matchsticks
- 1 cup Green beans or broccolini, chopped into 2-inch pieces
- For serving Cooked jasmine rice or noodles
- For garnish Sliced spring onions and toasted sesame seeds
This is my go-to weeknight dinner — 20 minutes from wok to plate. The key is a screaming hot pan and not overcrowding the beef. Let the Soy Caramel do its thing and you'll get that glossy, sticky finish every time.
Method
Prepare the Beef
For extra tender meat, toss the sliced beef with 1 teaspoon of Soy Caramel Magic Sauce and 1 teaspoon of cornflour. Let the beef sit while you chop your vegetables.
Sear the Beef
Heat a wok or large frying pan over very high heat. Add oil until shimmering. Add beef in a single layer (cook in batches to avoid overcrowding). Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until browned but still slightly pink inside. Remove and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
Return pan to high heat. Add carrots and cook for 1 minute. Add red onion and green beans or broccolini. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Glaze & Finish
Return the beef to the pan. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of Soy Caramel Magic Sauce over everything. Toss quickly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce reduces and coats everything in a thick, sticky, glossy glaze.
Serve
Serve immediately over hot jasmine rice or noodles. Garnish with sliced spring onions and toasted sesame seeds.
KRISH'S SOY CARAMEL MAGIC SAUCE
The Heart of This Dish
A rich, glossy blend of caramelized soy and aromatic spices that creates the perfect stir-fry glaze. Sweet, salty, and utterly addictive.
